Membership of this group is by invitation and includes the “next generation” of leadership and support. Ma’alot has already completed their first project, a water reclamation facility at Kibbutz Hatzerim in the Negev. This has contributed to the economy of the kibbutz by allowing it to conserve fresh water by using cheaper recycled water for irrigation and cultivation of jojoba fields.
This new water source will enable local farmers to plant an additional 500 dunam (approx 125 acres) of jojoba, which is an alternative source of oil and is an important resource for the region.
A new project is currently in the pipeline.
