What is JNFuture?

As the Jewish National Fund (JNF) is the oldest voice representing the environment and community development in Israel, JNFuture is the gateway for the next generation of young adults to join and advance this ongoing endeavor.

Over the past century JNF has:

• planted over 240 million trees
• built over 200 reservoirs and dams
• developed over 250,000 acres of land
• created more than 1,000 parks
• provided the infrastructure for 1,000 communities
  
• educated students around the world about Israel and the environment.

Today, JNF is restoring northern Israel and putting its century of experience to work with 'Blueprint Negev: helping Israel’s newest generation of pioneers develop the Negev Desert' - Israel’s last frontier.

JNFuture’s purpose is to engage, educate and energize young diaspora Jews through education, social connection / networking, global vision and environmental and philanthropic endeavors that act to empower Israel’s environment and communities. JNFuture reaches out to young adults aged 20-40 through programming and classy events, missions to Israel and educational forums with young Jewish leaders.

JNFuture is a Global Initiative

JNFuture is a unique global vision to communicate JNF’s altruistic mission and goals with Generation X and Y and invite young adults to participate in a growing global community. Presently 10 countries including the US, UK, Australia, South Africa, Canada, Sweden, Switzerland, Italy, France and Mexico have young leadership/next generation programs. JNFuture is the gateway through which these groups will begin to work as a global network, a powerful worldwide team!

JNFuture recognizes that acting upon our global inter-connectedness is a vital, modern-day act, necessary in our globalised world. What happens to one nation truly affects the world, as demonstrated by the global financial crisis. There is a positive side to this however – working as a global community brings strength, vitality and power to local community groups.

What does JNFuture offer young adults?

• A unique opportunity for young Jewish professionals aged 20-40 to participate in a local and global network and develop lasting positive connections with like-minded individuals for community, social, business and philanthropic ends. This is something no other Jewish organisation offers.
• Classy, sassy educational forums and events.
• Opportunity to engage in support of JNF projects, environmental stewardship & community development in Israel and build toward long-term global governance & growth.
