Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael Jewish National Fund (KKL-JNF) Is the operational arm of the Jewish People in redeeming and developing the Land of Israel. Since its inception in 1901, the scope of our activities continues to grow in response to the changing needs of the country.

Planted over 240 million trees for the benefit of people and the environment with new plantings and replenishments being done on a continuous basis. Cultivated and tends to in excess of 100,000 acres of natural woodlands…
Purchased almost 1 million acres of land for resettlement and community development, providing infrastructure and facilities for new and existing communities … Reclaimed 250,000 acres for farming… Built more than 7,000 kilometers of roads to outlying and border communities…
Contributes substantially towards increasing Israel’s water supply Built over 180 water reservoirs for water conservation and recycling – a continuing process and rehabilitates and revitalizes rivers, streams and springs and other water sources…
Educates hundreds of thousands of young people in Israel and abroad forging a lasting bond with the Land of Israel… Promotes a love for the Land of Israel and its ecology amongst all its inhabitants and in Jewish communities around the world.
Develops thousands of picnic and recreation areas in forests and parks… Restores and develops heritage and historical sites…
Supports and implements Research & Development (R & D) projects with global implications… Encourages ecological research – the foundation of environmentally sensible development… Participates in international meetings, sharing expertise and knowledge. Facilitates awards and grants that help scientists create new technologies, especially in the agricultural arena, to meet the challenges facing arid regions.
KKL-JNF and communities abroad are partners in long-standing traditions embodied by the KKL Blue Box, Books of Honor, Certificates, Stamps, Endowments, Bequests and Projects that improve life in Israel.
