Experience Israel in a way you never have!

The Israel Ride is an incredible opportunity for you to experience the beauty of Israel from the saddle of a bike. The 2012 Ride will take you from Acco to Eilat over five riding days. Participants head north through the Galil forests and then descend into the Hula Valley to visit the bird sanctuary and explore the various sources of Israel’s primary water system – the Jordan River and Sea of Galilee.

We will ride around the majestic Kinneret and learn about the water crises in Israel. Our hardiest riders will detour to climb up some of the Golan Heights and we will end our northern tour at Beit Shean before transferring by bus next morning to the desert plateau above the Dead Sea to ride through Sde Boker and on to Mitzpe Ramon to enjoy a restful Shabbat.

The Ride continues through the Negev to the Arava Institute on Kibbutz Ketura. On the final day the route takes us through beautiful desert mountains and concludes with a breathtaking descent into Eilat. The Israel Ride ends with a swim in the Red Sea and a celebratory final dinner.

This isn't just a bike tour - you're going to be raising money to support a project of the JNF in conjunction with the Arava Institute that promotes innovative environmental protection and peace building work in Israel. And along the way you'll be learning about the land you're riding through and how Jewish history and tradition connects all the pieces. This year's ride will be an amazing experience and a team of Aussies will add a special dimension to the camaraderie.

Come join us! Your body will feel fantastic - and you'll know you're doing great things for the world.

Riders must register online at www.israelride.org and commit to raise a minimum of A$3,600.00. Donations to JNF Environmental Gift Fund are fully tax deductible. Please support our riders by donating to this Project.
