The week before Shavuot, we visited the schools and ran programs connecting students with the Land of Israel and the importance of JNF in Israel.
We went to 6 different Schools – Beth Rivkah years 7 & 8, King David School (3 campuses) – Early Learning Centre, Kindergarten, Primary and years 7 & 8, and Mount Scopus College (2 campuses) - years 4-6.
Erez explained about 7 “Haminim” (species) and how to make bread from Wheat – the process from harvesting, grinding to bread making – the activity was accompanied with stations, Shavuot dancing, fun activities with dates and olives. The students had lots of fun and understood how we celebrate Shavuot in Israel.
