During the week of Yom Ha’atzmaut, Erez Feinberg – Education Director, ran fun activities in the kindergartens at Leibler- Yavneh College and Mount Scopus College. Each student received their own Blue Box to take home to put coins in to help Israel. Erez taught them about their connection to Israel and how, through the Blue Box, they can help to grow Israel’s future.
Erez ran an amazing activity for UJEB students that was all about celebrating Israel’s 64th Birthday – including Israeli Dancing, Competitions, Pita Making – at both Caulfield Junior College and Gardenvale Primary.
Erez also was a guest speaker on Yom Hazikaron at Gandel Besen House where he talked about his time in the army and the importance of remembering the fallen soldiers.
On Yom Ha’aztmaut, at the open event at Luna Park, JNF had a stall to show visitors how they can personally connect with Israel – the same as is done at KKL parks in Israel. We made Israeli coffee, Pitot, played Backgammon games and sang Israeli songs.
